Aubrey started his military career in Rhodesia in 1962 with the Depot Royal Rhodesia Regiment (Llewellyn Barracks – Bulawayo), he was posted to the Royal Rhodesian Corps of Signals (5 Signal Squadron). After UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence) in 1965 he served in the Selous Scouts Regiment and then the Grey Scouts Regiment (Mounted) until he left Rhodesia.

Aubrey has had a very varied life and among the many interests he has held a pilot’s license, power boat racing, sky diving, motor racing etc… he was also very involved in International yachting both as an organizer of world championships, Clipper around the World Yacht race and ocean racing. He was part of the team that brought the A1 GP to Durban and internationally with the very exciting Formula E Series.

Aubrey came to live in the Isle of Man in 2007, he is a published author, motivational speaker and life skills coach.

He has been part of the Hero’s on the water since the beginning.  He is on the Mayors Charity Committee, where he represents HOW (IOM), Bobby Moore Charity Golf Day, Port Erin Festival of the Sea and part of the committee for our Armed Forces Day.
