Born and raised on the Isle of Man.  Joined the Royal Air Force at 17 and served 12 years as a Telecommunications Operator Morse and qualified as a Diver as a member of RAF Leeming and RAF Regiment Depot Catterick Sub Aqua Club.   Discharged at RAF Aldergrove in County Antrim after a two year tour and returned back to the Island.

Joined the Isle of Man Constabulary in 1998 as Support Staff and served for 16 years before being transferred to Government Technology Services.

I joined the TT/Manx Grand Prix Scoreboard Team in 1996 while still in the RAF and was promoted to the post of Scoreboard Controller in 2016 where I work with my 12 team members.  I joined the Unite Union early in my Civil Service career and became a Union Steward and an executive member of the Isle of Man Trade Union Council. I currently hold one of the two TUC posts on the Tynwald War Pensions Committee.

I became involved with HOW IOM early on and was part of the team who worked in and around the building. I hold the post of Quarter Master, Safety Diver, Boat Crew and I am working towards my Paddle Leader qualification.  Our Mascot Bear lives with me and my Wife and two Daughters.
